Information about Nightclubs in Mazatlán

General Information about Nightclubs in Mazatlán
  • Mazatlán has a vibrant nightlife. Many clubs open and close every year. Below are listed some of the clubs that have been around for a while. People don't normally go out to the nightclubs until late...about 11pm. Some clubs are open until 5am on weekends. Tourists normally go to the nightclubs (e.g. Joe's, Fiesta Land, Jungle Juice) in the Golden Zone. There are a number of nightclubs that feature 'Banda' music, which is a type of music local to the state of Sinaloa. Banda dancing is a lot like polka dancing. Tourists rarely go to the Banda nightclubs.

Joe's Oyster Bar
  • Obviously, the best nightclub in Mazatlán!

Jungle Juice
  • Located on the second floor on the corner, just in from the Panama restaurant on Avenida Camaron Sabalo.
  • Jungle Juice used to be one of the places you had to go when you went to Mazatlán. It has lot some of its popularity in the last 5 years. Now, it is moderately busy on the weekends. Some nights they have live bands.

Bora Bora
  • Located in the Fiesta Land complex which is the big white castle on the point. Corner of Avenida Camaron Sabalo and Avenida Rafael Buelna.
  • Bora Bora has been recently renovated. I am not sure what it is like currently. Before it was a large outdoor dance club with a cement floor, wooden tables, and a palapa roof.
  • There is a large cover charge on weekends. Sometimes the cover includes free drinks. If there are free drinks it can be hard to get them from the waiters and they will want tips.

Valentinos
  • Located in the Fiesta Land complex which is the big white castle on the point. Corner of Avenida Camaron Sabalo and Avenida Rafael Buelna.
  • Valentinos is a 2 level indoor air-conditioned nightclub.
  • There is a large cover charge on weekends. Sometimes the cover includes free drinks. If there are free drinks it can be hard to get them from the waiters and they will want tips.

Sunbawa
  • Located in the Fiesta Land complex which is the big white castle on the point. Corner of Avenida Camaron Sabalo and Avenida Rafael Buelna.
  • Sunbawa is a brand new outdoor nightclub. There are tables and walkways around. They have a large, very nice bar in the center. Part of the floor are sand, similar to Joe's.

Broadway
  • Located on Avenida Camaron Sabalo, south of the Dairy Queen.
  • I have never been in this nightclub so I cannot comment on it.

Cherry
  • Located on Avenida del Mar across from the Malecon, a few blocks south of Valentinos.
  • This club was formerly Coliseo which played banda music. It is now a big dance club playing popular music now.

Senor Frogs
  • Located on Avenida del Mar across from the Malecon, about half way down the Malecon.
  • Most first time to Mazatlán tourists usually end up at Senor Frogs for dinner. Senor Frogs has a small nightclub. I haven't been there recently so I cannot comment on it.

Mambo Cafe
  • Located in the Gran Plaza shopping mall.
  • This is the best club in town for Salsa dancing. They have a large band.
  • There is a cover charge. Not sure if it is only on weekends or not.
  • I was there once and it was a lot of fun.

Mundo Bananas
  • I am sad to report that Mundo Bananas is now closed and there is a for sale sign on the building.
