The Dos Equis Girls
- Yes guys, there are strip clubs in Mazatlan.
- Any taxi driver will take you to a strip club. The taxi driver will normally ask you to pay him to wait for you to take you home. This isn't really necessary because there are always lots of taxis out front of the strip clubs.
- Normally, it is about 50 to 80 pesos to catch a pulmonia/taxi from around Joe's Oyster Bar to the strip clubs. They may try to charge you more when you catch a pulmonia/taxi from the club to get back.
- There is one strip club, La Botana, on the Malecon. This is the most expensive strip club in Mazatlan and is frequented primarily by tourists.
- There are a couple of local strip clubs which are very inexpensive (15 pesos for a drink, 50 pesos for a dance) that tourists can safely go to. These are Terrandas and Hippocampo.
- Terrandas is located 2 blocks from the Malecon (turn left at Club Navy). It is a large warehouse type building. They charge a small cover charge (20-25pesos) on friday and saturday nights. They have the most ladies of any place in Mazatlan.
- Hippocampo is a small place located about 4 or 5 blocks from the Malecon (turn left at the Fisherman's monument). It is a small place. They over air-condition the place so it is usually very cold inside. The quality is good, but there aren't as many ladies as Terrandas.
- There is no problem with tourists going to the clubs mentioned above. Just ask the waiters/doormen how things work. Also, just be cool and you won't have any problems.
