The Mazatlan Shrimp Ladies
- To get the freshest shrimp in town, you need to go to the Shrimp Ladies.
- The Shrimp Ladies are a number of older ladies who get shrimp fresh of the shrimp boats and package it up and sell it on the street.
- The Shrimp Ladies are located a few blocks towards the Malecon from the main Mazatlan market downtown. They are on the street where the buses are RETURNING to the malecon and then the Golden Zone.
- The Shrimp is not cooked so this only applies to people who have a condo or apartment and can cook their own shrimp.
- The shrimp is relatively inexpensive.
- The Shrimp Ladies are unique to Mazatlan and if you get the chance, it is worth buying a bunch of huge shrimp and cooking them up!
