General Mazatlán Restaurant Information
- There are many restaurants in Mazatlán.
- The Golden Zone (Zona Dorada) is the main tourist zone and has many excellent restaurants of all types of cuisine.
- A general rule to stay healthy is to eat only at restaurants that do a high volume, i.e. that have a lot of people eating at them.
Gus Y Gus (Gus "and" Gus)
- Next to Joe's Oyster Bar, Gus Y Gus is place to be in Mazatlan.
- Pronounced "Goose E Goose"!
- They serve excellent breakfast, lunch, and dinners.
- Prices are reasonable.
- There is an excellent band every night. They encourage dancing also!
- Located in the Golden Zone almost across the street from the Hotel Costa De Oro.

Pancho's
- Panchos is one of the best restaurants in Mazatlan. The food and service are excellent!
- Located in the golden zone up the beach from Joe's Oyster Bar on the other side of the Playa Mazatlan Hotel.
- Frequently, you will see Pancho himself working there. Everyone who knows Pancho, knows he is a gentleman!

Dugout
- The Dugout is a sports bar.
- They have a giant screen projection TV in the outside seating of the restaurant.
- Inside they have a pool table.
- The Dugout is located across the street from the Dairy Queen drive thru in the Golden Zone.
- The menu is limited, but is reasonably priced and good quality.

The Saloon
- The Saloon is a sports bar.
- They have many large tv's.
- They pick up CBC for Hockey games.
- The food is reasonably priced.
- The Saloon is located across the street from the Dairy Queen in the Golden Zone. It is behind the dry cleaner and the pizza place.

Yoopers
- Yoopers is a sports bar. It is owned by the former owner of the Saloon.
- They have many large tv's.
- They pick up CBC for Hockey games.
- The food is reasonably priced. They have a good spagetti special one night.
- Yoopers is located across and up the side street from the Shrimp factory in the Golden Zone.

Canucks
- Located in old Mazatlan.
- They have live music shows. Check out their website for details
- They serve excellent breakfast, lunch, and dinners.

- Located in the Hotel D'Gala across the street from the hotel Playa Mazatlan.
- Just opened in the fall of 2008.
- Haven't heard anybody say anything about this restaurant yet so cannot comment on the food or service.
Latitud 23
- Located in the Golden Zone across from Antony's restaurant.
- This is a classy restaurant/bar.

- Mr. A's on Calle Gabriel Ruiz appears closed down now. There is a sign in the hotel across the street that says it is in there now, bu we saw no action.
