View of the Malecon in Mazatlan
- The Malecon is a 13 mile long seawall that runs from the Old part of Mazatlan to the Golden Zone.
- The Malecon was widened and improved a few years ago.
- There are a number of statues on the malecon, including the Monument to Fishermen, the Pulmonia, and the monument to the Family.
- You will see people walking, running, riding bicycles, and roller blading along the malecon.
- For safety reasons, it is not wise to be on the malecon late at night.
- During Carnival, the parade goes along the length of the malecon.
