Hotel Playa Mazatlan as viewed from the beach
Located in the Golden Zone right next door to Joe's Oyster Bar.
- Located right on the beach.
- Room rates are moderate, over US$100 per night.
- The Canadian consulate has an office in the hotel complex.
- The US Consulate has an office across the street.
- I normally recommend this hotel to people on their first trip to Mazatlán.
- I have stayed at the hotel many times. It is clean and safe. Rooms are average.
- The swimming pool is good for doing laps, but not too large.
- The restaurant is a little pricy, but excellent. Especially, the breakfast buffet.
- Mainly Canadian and American tourists.
- Famous for it's rocking chairs from Concordia (a town north of Mazatlan). A good place to sit back, read, and rock!
- Be sure to check out the pictures of the hotel when it first opened as a motel. Pictures are located on the way to the restaurant.
